About Slice of Old Sacramento

Located at 1019 2nd St, Sacramento, CA 95814, Slice of Old Sacramento operates as a pizza restaurant serving Sacramento in California. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it.

Pizza places in the United States run from a counter with two stools and a stack of boxes to a full sit-down pizzeria with a bar, and most neighborhood shops do all three things at once: dine-in, takeout and delivery. Ordering by phone is still common and often faster than an app, and many independents charge less when you call direct because there is no platform fee. Sizes are usually listed in inches (a small around 10", a large 14", an extra-large 16" or more), and a large feeds two to three adults. Slices are sold from a display case at New York-style counters and reheated to order; whole pies take 15-25 minutes at a busy shop. Most spots take cards and mobile pay, though a few older pizzerias remain cash-only, so check the door or the listing before you order.

Hours are published for 6 days a week. Typical hours are 11 am–6 pm. It is closed on Tuesday. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. The listed phone number is (916) 443-6761. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone. Its website is sliceofoldsacramento.com, where you may find menus, price lists or booking options.

On Google it holds a rating of 4.4 out of 5 from 185 reviews, which is a strong result for a pizza restaurant in Sacramento and suggests consistent service.

I completely forgot about this until I saw the response to my complaint in my email I somehow missed. Definitely zero stars off the strength of one of the employees that works here. Everyone else had always been nice including the woman who turned out to be the owner, and the pizza was good. There is a tall woman with no neck and no shoulders that gave me problems repeatedly which is why I stopped going there. She was extremely disrespectful, I caught her authorizing her own tips, and she tossed a bag of plates and packets at me twice. The second time she did that, which was the last time I went, she did that in front of the owner, then kept antagonizing me to make me look like I was in there threatening her. I even showed the owner the receipt from the previous time when I realized she’d been authorizing her own tips and the owner offered me a refund. I later heard others also had bad run-ins with her. No pizza is worth dealing with someone that’s as rude as her, and it’s sad she obviously thinks she’s funny.

This place serves some of the best pizza I had in my life. It’s fresh and hot. It’s the perfect ratio of sauce, dough and meat. Definitely worth every penny. Go and enjoy it by yourself or with family.

Visited July 17th..see receipt. We decided to stop and get a quick slice of pizza to satisfy our craving before dinner. I got the slice of pepperoni and my friend got the combo. Service was quick! The pizza was an average slice (not as big as some other places) and it had a nice crust. For some reason my slice was salty. The combo slice was fine. I noticed they serve sodas and beer as well. The place didn't feel very clean to me. The location itself is great. They have indoor seating. I would go again in the future if I am craving a slice!

Was craving a slice of pizza so I decided to give this place a shot, located in Old sac so off the bat parking was pretty limited. Went in on a weekday in the evening time, and wasn't busy at all. Service was fast, staff was friendly, place was clean. Had a slice of pepperoni pizza( slice was kinda small in my opinion for 5.99), but it was good, it was a little greasy side but hey it is pizza we are talking about here. Overall I'd eat there again if I could find parking. It was a little difficult to find but its next to the entrence of La Terraza Mexican Restaurant if that helps.
